**Personal Intro**
In a few of his talks, [Rob](Rob%20Burbea.md) talks about a friend of his who "*knows with her uterus*." The idea has always sounded fascinating to me, and just last week my friend sirensong recommended a deliberate visualization practice that fits into the theme. I passed the visualization suggestion along to the secret goddess and she loved it! She was smiling along and nodding while we listened to the mantra.
A few days later I asked Her if She had done the practice and She said no, but that I should do the practice and tell Her about how it went. I've since been feeling my imaginary uterus and working on what it's like to know like that.
**Visualization Instructions**
1. Place your interoceptive attention on your (real or imagined) uterus
2. Chant the mantra of your choice. Aim the mantra so it's radiating out from or into your uterus
1. My friend shared [this](https://www.3ho.org/kundalini-yoga/meditation/kundalini-bhakti-meditation-adi-shakti-namo-namo/) Shakti mantra, but
2. You can use any mantra you know
3. Style points for using a goddess mantra
3. Visualize the mantra and the goddess cleansing and nourishing your uterus
1. sirensong said "visualize the goddess sweeping the organs"
2. other cleansing visualizations seem valid for now
These deliberate meditation instructions are an exercise for getting in touch with the spirit of the practice. Setting aside some time to focus exclusively on this allows you to develop skill and intuition for when you're doing other things.
